Richard Knight, President of the AAKP & The Fun Walk

Sent on behalf of AAKP President Richard Knight

Dear AAKP Ambassadors,

I want to wish each of you a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Thanks to each of you who participated in the I am grateful campaign. As we continue to celebrate AAKP’s 50th Anniversary, we are adding another event to commemorate this significant year of existence – a Fun Walk.

I want to encourage you to be part of our first Fun Walk on Saturday, December 7th – whether you are in Tampa, FL or Chicago, IL – and create a team and walk in your hometown, or participate virtually – with your support we can raise awareness about kidney disease and raise money to support AAKP educational programs. Our staff has done a tremendous job in soliciting support from several of our Industry Partners. We need to show strong support for this event. Thus, demonstrating a level of AAKP involvement that reflects our commitment to one of our core principles – education. I know with the help of all Ambassadors we will have a Fun Walk we can all be proud of hosting. Please join us on December 7th to show how widespread kidney disease is and demonstrate the strength of the kidney community.

If you have not yet registered, please do so today. Visit https://secure.qgiv.com/event/aakp2019funwalk/ - you can register and participate as an individual, or you can create a team of friends, family members, and colleagues. All Walk participants will receive a t-shirt and tote bag. Once you register, you can create a personal fundraising page and share photos and your connection to kidney disease. You can send emails and social posts to family and friends asking for their support and you can even send thank you messages to your donors.

We look forward to seeing all of you December 7th in Tampa and on social media!

Sincerely,
Richard Knight
President
AAKP
