Description
Bilal is 32 years old and is a member of the U.S. Air Force. We have been married for almost 14 years, and have two beautiful children together who are 8 and 4. We are praying for a wonderful person to step forward and help save his life by donating their spare kidney. He is such a vibrant and happy person, and nothing brings him more joy than playing with our children. Bilal leads a very active l...ife, and is a Black Belt in both Tae Kwon Do and Tang Soo Do, as well as a private pilot. Unbeknownst to most, Bilal is also a very talented pianist, and was actually a piano instructor before he joined the military. Bilal first found out he had chronic kidney disease when he was 25 years old and began having problems with his blood pressure. At the time, he was training for a marathon, and was otherwise in perfect health. Over the last few years his kidney function has declined dramatically, and we found out on June 6th, 2013 that he would have to go on the national transplant list. Dealing with all of this has been difficult for our family, but we are remaining optimistic. Bilal's nephrologist told us his best option is to find a living donor. We are currently searching for a donor with BLOOD TYPE * O * If you or someone you know is interested in being tested for a match, please contact us via this page, or at bilalneedsakidney@yahoo.com. His current transplant center will be Denver, CO, but he may also be on the list for Nashville, TN or Orlando, Fl. Thank you for taking the time to look over this page, and God Bless.
